Oakland, CA – March 7, 2018 – a Pot for Pot (www.aPotforPot.com) has been named a finalist chosen to present at the CNvest: Terps and Tech cannabis industry startup and investor conference next month. a Pot for Pot will pitch an audience of accredited investors and media at the CNvest: Terps and Tech 2018 conference, taking place at the Hilton San Jose on April 9. Investors in the audience will also select a company for the standout pitch, who will receive a $10,000 cash prize.

“With both California and Canada implementing adult use cultivation this year, 60 million additional consumers can now legally grow up to 6 and 4 plants, respectively, at home,” said Jason Levin, co-founder of a Pot for Pot. “But for the average consumer, the intimidation factor is still there. A first time grower typically spends $2,000 at the hydro shop. That’s overkill for a college student, soccer mom, or grandmother with glaucoma.”

CNvest entries were received from startups seeking funding located across North America, from Southern California to Eastern Canada. The sixteen CNvest finalists earned top scores on a set of criteria critical in determining both a company’s market and investment potential. Entries were analyzed by cannabis industry editors, reporters and influencers whose background make them uniquely qualified to uncover aspects of businesses that could help them thrive in the complex cannabis market.

“As a journalist covering the cannabis industry, I’m always scouting for new, innovative businesses that are solving real problems, and entrepreneurs in this space who have a vision and are driven to succeed,” said author of the book Start Your Own Cannabis Business and mainstream media cannabis reporter, Javier Hasse, one of the eight CNvest: Terps and Tech judges. “Being a part of the CNvest judging team has been an eye-opening experience and I look forward to seeing all the finalists further develop and present their pitches. I hope CNvest will play an important role in these sixteen companies’ financing and market success.”

Established in 2017 by Jason Levin and Joshua Mezher, www.aPotforPot.com is on a mission to bring cannabis into the homes of gardening enthusiasts and empower the hobbyist gardener with everything they need to grow a pot plant from seed to harvest. Taking inspiration from a trip to a gardening store, the two developed a Pot for Pot as a complete organic soil grow kit for cannabis, including all the tools needed and a complete growing guide. Their Superb SoilTM, which combines 18 special ingredients and even playa dust from the Black Rock desert is specifically formulated to provide the plant with full spectrum organic nutrients that makes it as easy as just adding water, seed, and sun. They encourage their growers to choose cannabis Ruderalis for home growing because it is an auto-flowering, quick-growing seed that can have both high THC content as well as the healthful CBD cannabinoid. Currently run as an e-commerce business, look for www.aPotforPot.com boxes in your local dispensary, smoke shop, and gardening center soon.
