Cannabis super soil is a highly amended, nutrient-dense organic growing medium designed to provide all the necessary nutrients for cannabis plants throughout their entire life cycle, from seedling to harvest. The concept, popularized by the late grower Subcool, simplifies the cultivation process by creating a self-sustaining “living soil” ecosystem.
Instead of relying on a strict schedule of bottled liquid fertilizers, super soil uses a base potting mix that is “cooked” or composted with a variety of organic amendments. Common ingredients include compost, worm castings, bone meal, blood meal, bat guano, kelp meal, and various other natural minerals. This rich blend is a concentrated form of nutrients that beneficial microorganisms, fungi, and bacteria in the soil break down over time, making them available to the plant’s roots.
