During the winter, or if you don’t receive direct sunlight, use a grow tent or just hang an LED above your autoflowering plant and dont worry about light cycles. If you have limited sun exposure, move your pot indoors under LED lighting during shaded hours or when a cold front is approaching.

Lighting Needs

Grow our 5 Gallon weed grow kit outdoors with free natural sunlight. When growing indoor cannabis under LED grow lights, you need at least 75watts per fabric pot to harvest a decent yield. If your space gets limited direct sun, combining supplemental LED lighting with moving the plant between sunny windowsills is the cheapest way to grow, electricity bill low and yield high.

Varieties & Planting Info

The 5 Gallon Pot works great for all varieties of cannabis during all phases of the plant’s life cycle. For beginner cannabis growers, we highly recommend growing autoflowering strains to make it as fast and easy as possible. Pot size is ideal for early-season cannabis outdoors, which will be ready to harvest around August. Only grow photoperiod strains in a grow tent, or when planting late in the outdoor growing season.
