Sativa Dominate Seeds

Genetics

Indica or Sativa

Cereal Milk is a balanced hybrid, about 50/50. It comes from Cookies, who crossed Y Life with Snowman. The plant grows sturdy and bushy, with a moderate stretch after the flip to flower. Its branches hold dense, golf-ball buds that can turn deep violet on cool nights. For a home grower, a balanced plant like this is easy to keep in shape. It won’t run away on you. As a feminized photoperiod, it flowers when the days get shorter, so you decide how big it gets first. It does well in a grow tent or outdoors in one of our kits.

Cereal Milk Strain: Type, Aroma and Flavor

Cereal Milk is a feminized photoperiod and a balanced 50/50 hybrid: not indica, not sativa, the best of both. It comes from the Cookies family, and its flavor is why people grow it. It tastes like the bottom of a breakfast bowl thanks to a “sweet-gas-earth” trifecta that tricks your palate into tasting creamy milk and sugary fruit. The smell is a sweet bakery, not a skunky one: sweet dough and fruity berries over a creamy, fruity funk. The loudest terpenes are caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene. The flavor is creamy and sweet, with a milky finish that lingers. Buds come out dense, frost-covered and glistening, like they were rolled in sugar. If you like dessert strains, see Lemon Cherry Gelato.

How to Grow Cereal Milk Photoperiod Seeds in a Pot for Pot Kit

Plant one seed in our organic super soil and just add water. It’s a joy to grow, with stable genetics and sturdy branches that hold up rock-hard colas. As a balanced hybrid it grows with sativa vigor and stacks buds like an indica. Start on 18 hours of light and 6 of dark to build roots. It responds well to strong light and stacks quickly without turning into a jungle vine. Because the buds grow dense and golf-ball shaped, spread the branches out: top it at the 5th node, then weave the branches through a trellis net (a “screen of green”) so every bud site gets direct light and you avoid popcorn buds. It’s for the patient gardener who wants to grow a big photoperiod plant, in a closet tent or a backyard; for a quick turnaround instead, try Mimosa Autoflower. Growing in one of our kits? Cereal Milk Flowering Time and Plant Size

It’s a photoperiod, so it starts flowering when daylight drops to about 12 hours. Outdoors, plan on a harvest in mid to late October. Be patient: the hairs may turn orange early, but wait for the calyxes to swell, and harvest when the trichomes look like milky white plastic rather than clear glass (a loupe helps). Indoors, you start flowering by switching your lights to 12 hours on, 12 off; expect a moderate stretch, with most of the energy going into bulking up the buds. Expect a bushy, sturdy plant.

Growing Cereal Milk Indoors vs Outdoors

Outdoors: for flavor chasers, outdoor is king: full sun pushes terpene production into overdrive for a louder, more complex creamy-fruit profile. It’s a sturdy plant that loves a warm, Mediterranean climate (Zones 8-10) and handles temperate Zones 5-7 with good airflow. The real danger isn’t cold, it’s trapped moisture: it prefers a fall without weeks of rain, so give the bushy plant a breezy spot or prune hard, and defoliate the inner fan leaves in August so wind can dry it after rain. The sweet smell can draw thrips and aphids; a neem oil spray during veg helps. It’s in our Cold, Warm and Hot zone collections; find your zone on the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map.

Indoors: for the best bag appeal, grow it indoors, where you control the temperature. Turn up strong lights in late flower for heavy trichomes. Keep humidity at 40-45% late in flower (over 55% invites mold), and drop night temperatures to about 68°F (20°C) for the final two weeks; that preserves the creamy terpenes, adds resin and brings out deep violet.
